Desmond Bernard O'Connor CBE (12 January 1932 – 14 November 2020) was an English comedian, singer and television presenter. He was a long-time TV chat-show host, beginning with The Des O'Connor Show in 1963, which ran for ten years.
The TV star and comedian, who hosted his own prime time shows for over 45 years, passed away in his sleep at his home in Buckinghamshire. He was known for his humour, variety and musical talent, and was visited by his family and friends, including Melanie Sykes, Carol Vorderman and Paddy McGuinness.
