Newtonville is a predominantly residential neighborhood. It is divided into two parts by the Massachusetts Turnpike and the MBTA Commuter Rail running through an open trench below grade, and requiring reconnection via several bridges over the trench.
Newtonville is a dispersed rural community in the Municipality of Clarington, Durham Region, Ontario, Canada. It is located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Oshawa and about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of Port Hope on the former Highway 2.

About Newtonville. Newtonville is the most easterly community in Clarington (and in Durham Region) and was in the southeastern part of the old Clarke Township until 1973. We have a very dedicated Board of Directors that maintains the community hall and hosts fundraising events.
