18 févr. 2023 · The harness that comes from the engine bay splits and both go to the brake. I assumed the frayed harness was the pad sensor because of the brake light and low pad warning. I connected the wires coming from the engine bay (bypassing the brake pad) and the brake light is off.
27 mars 2011 · Has anyone ever had the brake pad wear sensor connector break? Mine broke off where it clips to the little holder and I get a change pads warning on the MFD every time there is rain or I wash the car.

A broken or poor connection plug will result in a persistant brake pad warning light in the instrument cluster. This kit includes one replacement connector and one repair wire - the repair wire has two pins and can be cut in half and spliced into your broken harness.
29 juil. 2008 · it has a lobe with a little bump that keeps it in a certain position. pull the plastic lobe back slightly, and a 90 degree turn later, the conenctor for the brake sensor wire is released from it's bracket and disconnected easily. as for reconnecting, it's exactly the reverse of above.
