11 sept. 2017 · This six-CD box set, released to celebrate the 80th birthday of Norwegian jazz singer Karin Krog is intriguing. It is not a straightforward chronological retrospective, nor a greatest hits collection – she has released anthologies of her work before now, most recently in 2015’s Don’t Just Sing.
De cette chanteuse norvégienne, un duo avec Archie Shepp nous parvint vers la fin des années 70. Depuis, et bien que son nom soit resté gravé dans nos mémoires, et parfois nos pensées, la diffusion de ses (très) nombreux disques est restée pour le moins discrète. Et confidentielle.
