U.D.O. est un groupe de de heavy metal traditionnel allemand fondé par le chanteur Udo Dirkschneider en 1987 suite à sa séparation avec le groupe Accept. Dirkschneider entendait poursuivre dans la continuité de l'esprit original d'Accept, la où le reste de ce groupe préférait emprunter des voies plus commerciales.

U.D.O. is a German heavy metal band founded by lead vocalist Udo Dirkschneider in 1987. History. Following Dirkschneider's departure from Accept in 1987, he formed his own band called U.D.O. The first line-up consisted of guitarists Mathias Dieth and Peter Szigeti, bassist Frank Rittel and drummer Thomas Franke.
