Upstate New York, winter. A young Italian woman, Eleonora, inherits an enigmatic house from her deceased lover and goes to see it for the first time. No sooner has she arrived than she meets the caretaker of the house, Leslie, who shows her around.
Upon learning of her lover’s tragic death, the grieving Eleanora makes a pilgrimage to his home — a mysterious abode known as the Rubber House — where she meets his eccentric caretaker, Leslie, and finds her life forever changed.
