Luna is a talking black-purple cat that advises and mentors Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) and the rest of the Sailor Senshi throughout the anime series. This is the first anime depiction of the original manga character. Her counterpart is Artemis, who assists Sailor Venus .
In her human form, Luna is a young, slim and frail woman with curly, long black hair which reaches her waist and has two buns on the sides. Her forehead bears the same crescent moon mark that she wears as a cat, and which are also featured on her gold earrings.
26 mars 2020 · Especially in the Sailor Moon S movie where we get a look at their human forms, it's fairly evident that Luna is portrayed as a female while Artemis is portrayed as a male. However, not all of the dubs handled their genders this way.
Luna's personality as a human girl is essentially identical to her normal self, except that she has a mild obsession with sweet foods and behaves more like a real cat, in that she runs from dogs and is easily distracted by toys. She also has heightened hearing and is able to move extremely quickly.
Fans who have seen the live action series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon know that Luna can transform into a human form from her cat one. That’s also true in the manga. This particular ability isn’t Luna-specific, but instead, true of those from the planet Mau.
31 mai 2024 · Luna's human form appeared in Act 14, Sailor Moon Eternal, and Sailor Moon Cosmos. The character design used in Act 14 seemed to match the more elaborate one seen in the "Kaguya-hime no Koibito" side story, as she wore a long black skirt underneath her yellow dress.
Artemis is Minako's white guardian cat, as well as her advisor. He is the counterpart to Luna, who assists Sailor Moon. Artemis is a white tomcat with short fur and blue eyes. Like Luna, he has a golden crescent moon on his forehead to show his allegiance to the Silver Millennium.
