I had my path setup properly still it didn't seem to work, later I found that I had a partial entry of python files in the C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps and my WindowsApps were in the path to, so when I ran python in it did not work.

This installs the package to the anaconda library directory rather than to the library directory associated with (the non-anaconda) pip.

18 mai 2020 · Open anaconda prompt & use 'conda env list' to find the location of the environment you wish to use. Go to the start menu, right-click 'Anaconda Prompt' and go to file location. Create a copy of this shortcut file. Open its properties & change the target to the location of your preferred environment.

The Anaconda base Python environment is a Python distribution and should be updated collectively using the standalone images put together by Anaconda.
