Mechanical Animals est le troisième album studio du groupe Marilyn Manson (à l'occasion rebaptisé Omega and the Mechanical Animals) sorti le 14 septembre 1998 sous le label Nothing Records. Musicalement, l'album est plus mélodique que les précédents et est influencé par le glam rock des années 1970.
En 1998, Marilyn Manson lui demande de jouer un solo de guitare sur la chanson I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me) que l'on retrouve sur l'album Mechanical Animals. À partir de 2002, il fonde avec d'autres célébrités un "groupe de reprises" basé à Los Angeles : Camp Freddy.

David Michael Navarro (born June 7, 1967) is an American guitarist. [1] . He is best known as a member of the rock band Jane's Addiction, with whom he has recorded four studio albums. Between 1993 and 1998, Navarro was the guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, recording one studio album, One Hot Minute (1995), before departing. [4] .
