A straightforward yakuza film that unfortunately deviates from its clashing families conflict to focus on a rushed and underdeveloped romance between its protagonist, played by Yukio Mishima (unrelated, but look up his biography, you're in for a wild ride), and his girlfriend.

La thématique du film est corsée, en effet, mais les images correspondent bien à l’année du tournage, 1960 : seuls quelques brefs moments de violence seraient de nature à troubler le tout jeune spectateur.
