I took greyhound a lot when I was in college and grad school. The major east coast routes between Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC are nice. Newish buses, leave from a fine part of town, etc. The couple of times I took greyhound in the south was much less good. Old smelly buses, stations were in sketchy areas.

15 nov. 2023 · The majority of Americans don’t even travel leisurely by Greyhound. The real America is stuck in their 2-4 door Sedan on the highway, commuting without incident like civilized people. Greyhound busses are city to city, and it doesn't make sense to take them to work. It's the /travel attitude.
tl;dr Greyhound left me at a bus station and took off with my stuff still on the bus. When I never got my stuff back, I filed a lawsuit in Small Claims court for $1040 and won. I. THE INCIDENT. I was coming back from my grandmother's funeral in Monroe, LA headed back to Atlanta, GA on April 23.
In my experience Greyhound is solid for anything that isn't fragile. I'd encourage you to go heavy on the tape, and possibly stretch wrap the boxes, but with those precautions I don't think you have anything to worry about. I've never shipped so much with Greyhound all at once, so I can imagine that they might need to put the boxes on several ...

Reply reply More replies. freethis. •. Yes, they are really that bad. I've traveled Greyhound many times, and I'm now willing to go hundreds of miles out of my way just to avoid stepping onto one. Firstly, Greyhound is very expensive for the service you are getting and the time you'll spend traveling and waiting.
26 oct. 2020 · They're very good in the house. We routinely leave them for 4 hour stints are they just sleep the whole time. Don't need much space, just as comfy a bed as you can find. They're quiet and it is very rare we hear a bark. Ours are both very good with children and have been introduced to children as young as 2.
14 oct. 2020 · I think the biggest thing I tell people when thinking about adopting a greyhound is that you need patience and consistency. You have to remember that they haven't lived a life like a "normal" domestic dog. So when they are first introduced to things like stairs, hardwood floors, city noises, other dogs, etc, they're going to be wary.
