25 août 2012 · Distribution images of Arctic sea ice concentration and sea ice area information are updated everyday and provided to the public on the Arctic Sea-Ice Monitor website using the IARC-JAXA information system (IJIS) set up at the International Arctic Research Center (IARC), University of Alaska, by JAXA.
27 août 2023 · With this tool, you can: Visualize sea ice extent (area of ocean with at least 15 percent sea ice concentration) data for the Arctic and Antarctic. View and compare sea ice extent data for any year or any combination of years from 1979 to present (including near-real-time daily data).
3 oct. 2024 · Sea ice data is updated daily, with a one-day lag. On occasion, there is data delay which is usually resolved within a few days. The orange line in extent and concentration images (left and middle) and the gray line in the time series (right) indicate 1981 to 2010 average extent for the day shown.

9 mai 2016 · IJIS: Has been growing for the last 2 days: 12,388,281 km2 (May 12, 2013) It's not unusual for extent to bounce up and down a bit at this time of year, of course, but, still, while the average extent drop for mid-May is about 50k km2 per day, it's notable that it's dropped just 25k over the past four days combined.
