AS LONG AS WE BOTH SHALL LIVE. In this fantasy that takes place in a highly-stylized 19th-century restoration era, Miyo is the first daughter of a prestigious family. Her mother dies, her father remarries, and she is raised by an abusive stepmother.
The film had its North American premiere at the Toronto Japanese Film Festival on June 10, 2023, under the English title As Long as We Both Shall Live. It was also screened at the Fantasia International Film Festival on August 8 the same year.
26 mai 2024 · As long as we both shall live / My happy marriage. Une fois n’est pas coutume, l’adaptation en film est meilleure que l’anime. Les choix visuels plus darks, le scénario plus ramassé donc plus dense, ce qui conv ient mieux à l’histoire à mon avis.
