Tourné sur les côtes de la Nouvelle-Écosse, VIRGINIA'S RUN réserve en outre quelques paysages d'une impressionnante beauté sauvage. Dans l'ensemble, l'interprétation est correcte. La jeune Lindze Letherman joue parfois de façon appuyée, mais elle sait rendre son personnage sympathique.

Il a depuis vendu la bête au riche Blake Haines, en plus d'interdire à sa fille Virginia, âgée de 11 ans, de s'approcher d'un cheval, même si elle a l'équitation dans le sang.
