Purple Death from Outer Space is a 1966 American black-and-white science fiction film directed by Ford Beebe and Ray Taylor. It is the first of two feature-length compilations of the 1940 serial Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe. The second, Perils from the Planet Mongo, was released the same year.

The Purple Death From Outer Space is whats on the Mill Creek DVD video, but the jacket cover says Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe. It’s 12 movie serials edited down over the decades to this 88 minute version. Flash Gordon arrived in a little toy spaceship with little sparkler sparks and the sound of a little prop biplane.
