Gilbert J. Clarke (born August 17, 1962) is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is known for having a three-year tenure as the rhythm guitarist of Guns N' Roses, replacing Izzy Stradlin in 1991 during the Use Your Illusion Tour, and also featured on "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993).
10 nov. 2020 · Clarke had walked in that autumn 1991 day with a Les Paul and Marshall half-stack to audition for the position of GN’R’s rhythm guitarist, which Stradlin had vacated following a tour leg supporting their two Use Your Illusion albums. He did have what it takes.

Clarke toured the world in support of Gun N’ Roses’ Use Your Illusion I and II and lent his licks to 1993’s The Spaghetti Incident? before recording his solo debut, 1994’s Pawnshop Guitars, and working with his old pal Slash on his debut, 1995’s It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.
