William Scott Bruford (born 17 May 1949) is an English former [2] drummer and percussionist who first gained prominence as a founding member of the progressive rock band Yes.
Turbulence is the third studio album by Yes guitarist Steve Howe, released in 1991 through Relativity Records. It is Howe's first solo release since 1979, with his band including former Yes drummer Bill Bruford and former Ultravox keyboardist Billy Currie.

In addition to Howe, who plays guitar and bass throughout, the primary musicians are drummer Bill Bruford and keyboardist Billy Currie. Howe composed the songs, all of which are instrumentals.

Released shortly after the successful Union, Turbulence is completely instrumental, near-quintessential Howe. With backing from Bill Bruford, Billy Currie and others, Howe unsheathes his familiar array of stringed instruments and unleashes ten vibrant, sometimes magical compositions.
