Vagabond Ways is the 14th studio album by British singer Marianne Faithfull. This is her first album of original material since A Secret Life (1994).

The songs Lanois wrote for Faithfull are also perfect for her. She has the support of some very famous and talented artists such as Emmylou Harris and longtime collaborator Barry Reynolds. This being a reissue, there are, of course, bonus tracks.
Her 1980s albums spawned the top ten singles "Wayfaring Stranger", "Born to Run" and "Last Date". The 1985 album The Ballad of Sally Rose was among Harris' first self-written projects. The album (along with its follow-ups) failed to sustain the commercial momentum of previous albums.

This straight-forward rock album, her last release of the nineties didn't given grace the top 75, but 'Vagabond Ways' is a masterpiece, and would serve a newbie well, as an introduction to her music. Every song, each of which flows beautifully together, one after the other, is a gem, and all of them are wrapped up in the most lush production.
