Donald James Randolph (March 24, 1936 – January 31, 2015), better known by the stage name Don Covay, was an American R&B, rock and roll, and soul singer-songwriter most active from the 1950s to the 1970s.

He was an important figure in the soul music explosion of the 1960's as a writer and performer. His first big hit was Pony Time by Chubby Checker (1961) and he also wrote the Aretha Franklin hits See-Saw (co-written with Steve Cropper ) and Chain Of Fools .
Don Covay est un chanteur et compositeur de musique soul américain, né le 24 mars 1936 à Orangeburg, Caroline du Sud, et mort le 31 janvier 2015 à Franklin Square dans l'État de New York. Il marque la soul des années 1960 par ses compositions pour Solomon Burke ou Aretha Franklin.
