Day of the Animals raconte l'histoire d'une psychose provoquée par l'appauvrissement de la couche d'ozone terrestre, affectant tous les animaux sauvages et domestiques à haute altitude.
Une dégradation de la couche d'ozone, ayant pour origine les diverses pollutions engendrées par l'homme sur la planète, transforme toutes les espèces animales en bêtes agressives, qui n'hésitent pas à attaquer quiconque se trouve sur leur chemin.
