18 juil. 2024 · Biography. Simon Wright was born in Oldham Manchester, England. After getting his first drum set at thirteen years old, Simon, a self taught drummer, spent hours with his head set on playing while listening to such legends as Cozy Powell, John Bonham and Tommy Aldridge.
12 juil. 2024 · In September 2008, Wright teamed up with Joe Lynn Turner, Phil Soussan and Carlos Cavazo as part of Big Noize, playing shows in Iraq and Kuwait. On 25 January 2013, it was announced that Wright had joined Geoff Tate’s version of Queensrÿche, later known as Operation: Mindcrime, after Tate’s dismissal from the band.

It was included on the soundtrack of the 1987 film Less than Zero; the song was also released as a single that year. It later became the first song on the group's 1988 album, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back.
