Felt like watching a Shaw Brothers horror film and this scratched an itch — filled with delicious atmosphere and Bavaesque colours, The Black Lizard is gorgeous to behold. Though it’s labyrinthine plot can be convoluted and hard to follow, the film does have some giallo-esque twisty elements which obviously appealed to me.
