James Ure is a Scottish musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. His stage name, Midge, is a phonetic reversal of Jim, the diminutive form of his actual name. Ure enjoyed particular success in the 1970s and 1980s in bands including Slik, Thin Lizzy, Rich Kids and Visage, and as the frontman of Ultravox.
Midge Ure, pseudonimo di James Ure (Cambuslang, 10 ottobre 1953), è un chitarrista e cantautore scozzese di origini olandesi. È noto per essere stato il chitarrista dei Visage dal 1978 al 1980 e degli Ultravox dal 1980 al 1987.
If I Was: The Very Best of Midge Ure & Ultravox is a nice compilation of Midge Ure tracks, including solo material as well as material with Ultravox and Visage.I like Ure's voice, and he's done some great songs along the way, but i have no need for much of what he's done.
