7 mai 2019 · The Corns ‘ first single MOONAGE DAYDREAM was released 48 years ago, on 7 May 1971. re-arranged and with reworked lyrics, on Bowie ‘s 1972 Ziggy Stardust longplayer. The Arnold Corns ‘ second single ‘ Looking for a Friend ‘ (with vocals by Frederick Burrett, aka. Rudi Valentino) stayed on the studio shelves until 1985.

7 mai 2022 · Arnold Corn recorded the first version of ‘Moonage Daydream’ in April of 1971 and released it as a single the following May. Underpinned by pounding floor toms, shimmering acoustic guitar, and resonant honky tonk piano, the track tells the story of a messianic Martian who comes to earth to save the world from environmental and societal collapse.
Arnold Corns was a band formed by David Bowie in 1971, with the name of the group being inspired by the Pink Floyd song "Arnold Layne". It was one of Bowie’s side projects and can be considered as a dry run for Ziggy Stardust but the project ultimately flopped.

This was with Arnold Corns, the short-lived prototype for the Ziggy Stardust concept. The session took place on 25 February 1971 at Radio Luxembourg’s London studio.
