As Lightnin' Strikes is my all time favourite single it is easy for me to give this 2 album collection five stars. I am also lucky to own a personally signed Lightnin' Strikes album cover, I met Lou when was on a revival tour here in England in the late eighties and he also signed a Paint America Love album cover for me.

Side one is good, but the real fireworks start on side two with all six songs written by Lou and his partner Twyla Herbert. Five of the six feature his distinctive falsetto, and are filled with one killer hook after another. Aside from the falsetto, Lou has one of the great voices in pop music with an exciting sense of urgency.
