Christine Perfect is the debut solo album of former Chicken Shack keyboardist and singer Christine Perfect (later known as Christine McVie). The album was released just after Perfect had left Chicken Shack, but before she joined Fleetwood Mac .
McVie frequently sang the song at the end of Fleetwood Mac concerts. Her former husband, John McVie, recalled that "When Christine played "Songbird", grown men would weep. I did every night." In 2022, the song was given an orchestral arrangement by Vince Mendoza on McVie's Songbird (A Solo Collection) compilation album.
"Got a Hold on Me" is a song by Christine McVie, released as the lead single from her eponymous second solo album in 1984. The song reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and topped the Billboard Adult Contemporary and Rock Tracks charts for four and two weeks, respectively. The song was McVie's only top 10 solo hit in the United States.
