Arun Manilal Gandhi (April 14, 1934 – May 2, 2023) was an Indian-American socio-political activist. He was born in South Africa. He is the fifth grandson of Mohandas Gandhi. Gandhi considers himself to be a Hindu but expresses universalist views.
Arun Manilal Gandhi was born on 14 April 1934, in Durban, to Manilal Gandhi and Sushila Mashruwala. His father was an editor and his mother was a publisher for the Indian Opinion . Arun had seen his grandfather Mahatma Gandhi once briefly at age 5 and didn't see him again until 1946 when he lived with Mahatma Gandhi at the Sevagram ashram in India .

Manilal exchanged letters with Totaram Sanadhya, who organised for collection of money for Manilal's fare and law books and made arrangements for his stay in Fiji. Manilal met Gandhi in Durban, but Gandhi despite his initial reluctance agreed to release Manilal. Manilal arrived in Suva on 27 August 1912.
