Starfire and Raven are pretty close/somewhat best friends as they’re the only girls among the Titans and get paired together quite often in many scenes, such as sitting/standing together or teaming up. Starfire, who often regards Raven as her best friend, is predominantly friendly to Raven, but Raven is generally not interested.
Starfire quickly flies to Raven, and manages to protect Raven from the creature. Only with the greatest effort do the Titans manage to subdue it - to find out to their immense surprise that the creature was none other than Beast Boy.
Starfire and Raven initially had no relationship besides being teammates. They are polar opposites in terms of personality, almost like Raven's relationship with Beast Boy, but she respects Starfire's cheerful personality.
