Artist. Born in Charters Towers, Queensland, John enrolled in formal Art Studies from 1950-55 in Brisbane. At that time, because art was not considered a “real job”, John attended the University of Queensland to complete a Dental Degree and later post-graduate studies at the Royal College of Surgeons, London.

Jolomo – John Lowrie Morrison OBE. John Lowrie Morrison was born in Glasgow and trained at the Glasgow School of Art. He worked in education for 25 years, taking up full time painting in 1997. In the last decade he has become one of Scotland’s most successful living artists.
