Tusk Act 3 is a long ranged Stand used by Johnny Joestar in the Steel Ball Run manga. In addition to maintaining every previous ability, Act 3 adds Wormhole Uppercut. This gives Tusk the extra dynamic of being able to engage combat.
Tusk act 3 by itself has a lot of good in it, but first let's actually talk about the downsides: Act 3 has no barrage. Going in head first in a melee fight will get you barraged as soon as your opponent realizes you're defenseless against it.
Barrage baiting is essential for some close range combos and specs. Luckily, Act 3 comes with multiple moves that can assist in making your opponent waste the barrage. Keep in mind a barrage cooldown is 7 seconds and at most, the barrage will last for 6 seconds.

Overall help (and how to fight spec-less): Don't fire nails directly at the enemy. Fire them at the ground and use wormhole nails. If you use wormhole nails you can stun-lock them and set yourself up for a combo. If they block, shoot them with a golden rotation nail and set yourself up for a combo.
