Ash Ra Tempel, est un groupe de krautrock allemand. Il est formé en 1970 par Manuel Göttsching, Klaus Schulze et Hartmut Enke. Le nom est raccourci en Ashra à partir de 1977, alors que le groupe n'est déjà plus depuis un moment que le projet solo de Manuel Göttsching, en raison du départ des autres membres.

Ashra was a musical ensemble founded by Manuel Göttsching in 1976, initially to facilitate his solo career although other members were included later on. The band's name is an abbreviation of the name of Göttsching's previous band, Ash Ra Tempel.
