Chongwenmen ( Chinese: 崇 文 門; pinyin: Chóngwénmén; Manchu: ᡧᡠ. ᠪᡝ. ᠸᡝᠰᡳᡥᡠᠯᡝᡵᡝ. ᡩᡠᡴᠠ; Möllendorff: šu be wesihulere duka) was a gate that was part of Beijing's city wall in what is now Dongcheng District.
Chongwenmen was a "sighting gate", with the connotation of "a bright and prosperous future". Its symbol was the Chongwen iron turtle. Due to its close proximity to the busy Tonghui river, it was the busiest gate in Beijing.
