James Wolcott Wadsworth Jr. (August 12, 1877 – June 21, 1952) was an American politician, a Republican from New York. He was the son of New York State Comptroller James Wolcott Wadsworth, and the grandson of Union General James S. Wadsworth.
Wadsworth was a member, Initiating Executive Committee of the American Liberty League. James Wadsworth, Jr., was, at heart, a gentleman farmer. During his political career, spanning both world wars and almost half a century, he advocated increased military power and denounced women’s right to vote.

Gerard and Bainbridge Colby, who was the Progressive nominee and would later serve as Woodrow Wilson’s last Secretary of State. Wadsworth was reelected to the Senate in 1920.
James Samuel Wadsworth (October 30, 1807 – May 8, 1864) was a philanthropist, politician, and a Union general in the American Civil War. He was mortally wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness in 1864.
