Abul Kasem Fazlul Huq (Bengali: আবুল কাশেম ফজলুল হক; 26 October 1873 – 27 April 1962), popularly known as Sher-e-Bangla (Lion of Bengal), was a Bengali lawyer and politician who presented the Lahore Resolution which had the objective of creating an independent Pakistan.

A.K. Fazlul Huq proved a rare figure in the Independence and partition era of the history of the India Sub Continent. He became the first Muslim Mayor of Kolkata. As a scholar, he sought to build bridges between Muslim and Hindu, writing Understanding the Muslim Mind.
