Rio En Medio Trail #163. The Rio en Medio Trail #163 is closed from the small Rio en Medio Trailhead to Aspen Ranch. Parking at the Rio en Medio Trailhead is also closed. Access to the Forest is now from Aspen Ranch Trailhead or from Pacheco Canyon Road.
23 sept. 2015 · Rio en Medio is a locally-loved, picturesque trail located in the Santa Fe National Forest. The entire trail runs along the river, requiring hikers to make multiple river crossings – a task made more adventurous with the high water levels resulting from this past monsoon season.

With cascading waterfalls and a small mountain stream running along it, the Rio En Medio trail is 6.7 miles long. It begins at end of SF County Road 590 (village of Rio En Medio VERY limited parking - do not block the road) and ends at Trail 254, near Aspen Ranch.
