Mark Germino was an American folk rock and country singer-songwriter. Born in North Carolina, he initially worked as a poet before moving into folk rock songwriting; by 1974, he had moved to Nashville.
Germino is probably best known for his song ‘Rex Bob Lowenstein,’ a song about the drawbacks of subscribed programming in mainstream radio. The tune was BBC Radio One ‘Song Of The Week’ in the UK and was considered a turntable hit throughout Europe.

Il y a 3 jours · Singer, songwriter, and poet Mark Germino passed away this week after a tragic accident. As an artist, he released four critically-acclaimed solo albums circa 1986-95 as well as an acclaimed 1991 album recorded with Nashville rockers the Sluggers.
The album credited here entitled ' Atomic Candlestick ' is a project recorded some time during my so-called missing years that was never officially released.
