Jakob Garfein (2 juillet 1930 – 30 décembre 2019) était un réalisateur américain, metteur en scène de théâtre, scénariste, professeur, producteur et figure clé de l’ Actors Studio . Il grandit à Bardejov, en Tchécoslovaquie, lors de la montée du Nazisme.

Growing up in Bardejov, Czechoslovakia during the rise of Nazism, [2] Garfein was deported to Auschwitz at the age of 13 and survived 11 concentration camps.
