Oscar Natalio " Ringo " Bonavena (September 25, 1942 – May 22, 1976) was an Argentine heavyweight professional boxer with a career record of 58 wins, 9 losses and 1 draw. A rugged, wild-swinging puncher, he was nicknamed "Ringo" because of his Beatles haircut, and enjoyed professional success in both Argentina and the United States.
22 mai 2018 · Oscar Bonavena was shot dead in front of Mustang Ranch brothel in 1976 by Willard Ross Brymer, who claimed it was a case of "bad blood". The murder sparked conspiracy rumors that Conforte had Bonavena killed for sleeping with his wife, Sally Conforte, also Bonavena's manager.
Bonavena knocked down three times in the 15th, forcing an automatic stoppage. Scoring at the time of the stoppage: 12-2, 10-3-1, 8-5-1 all for Ali.
