Yu So-chow ( Chinese: 于素秋; pinyin: Yú Sù Qiū; Cantonese Yale: yū sou chāu; 9 July 1930 – 12 May 2017) is a former Chinese actress from Hong Kong. Yu has a star at Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong.

25 août 2023 · Yu So-chow, whose real name was Yu Xiaofeng, was born into a Peking opera family. Her father, Yu Zhanyuan, was a famous Peking opera wusheng (male lead in a martial role) himself, as well as the master of the renowned "Seven Little Fortunes" which includes Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao.
Honoured on the Avenue of Stars, Hong Kong in 2004. Lives now in San Francisco with her five children. Yu So Chow comes from a family of actors. Her father was the famous Peking Opera actor Yu Jim Yuen, and she apprenticed for female warrior roles in Peking Operas at the age of eight.
