Cuckooland is the eighth studio album by jazz rock artist Robert Wyatt. It was released in 2003 on Hannibal Records. The artwork is by Alfreda Benge. The Wire named Cuckooland the record of the year in its annual critics' poll.
Tout à fait d'accord avec "Aur", laisser un peu de coté les synthés bontempi pour un son plus chaud à base de vrais instruments à permis à Robert wyatt de créer de nouvelles ambiances. Après 35 ans de carrière et plus dizaines d'albums, ce n'est pas la moindre des qualités de ce sublime Cuckooland.

19 déc. 2003 · Wyatt’s astounding new album, Cuckooland (Rykodisc/Hannibal), features several jazz-influenced tunes, along with Wyatt’s simple but dead-on trumpet playing and contributions by jazz musicians Gilad Atzmon, Yaron Stavi, Annie Whitehead and Karen Mantler (the daughter of Carla Bley and Mike Mantler).
