In the Garden sort en Octobre 1981, produit à Cologne comme il se doit en ces années révolutionnaires. Le duo se voit épaulé par des musiciens de renom : entres autres Holger Czukay et Jaki Liebezeit de CAN pour les cuivres ou Clem Burke de BLONDIE à la batterie. Tout semble donc aller pour le mieux.
