Lucky Devils is a 1933 American Pre-Code action film about group of Hollywood stuntmen and their dangerous daredevil stunt work, starring William Boyd and Bruce Cabot, and features an early appearance by Lon Chaney Jr.

Co-writing with real-life stuntman Bob Rose, scenarist Casey Robinson's Lucky Devils (1933) glorifies stunt personnel as superstitious thrill seekers with one foot in their graves: Stunt professionals Skipper and Bob (William Boyd and William Gargan) save the destitute Fran (Dorothy Wilson) from suicide.
Much like HOOPER would more than four decades later, LUCKY DEVILS is interested in the peculiar esprit de corps shared by the men — all men, all white, even the stuntmen doubling for women and blacks — who risk their lives for celluloid immortality.
