The Sensual World is the sixth studio album by the English singer-songwriter Kate Bush, released on 16 October 1989 by EMI Records. It reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart.

25 nov. 2016 · Pourquoi avoir invité David Gilmour sur deux titres si c’est pour noyer sa guitare au milieu de nappes de claviers et de percussions inopportunes ? Kate Bush elle-même a souvent bien du mal à se faire entendre au-dessus d’un accompagnement envahissant.
A l'exception de trois titres au tempo un peu plus soutenu ("Love and Anger" avec le retour du Pygmalion David Gilmour, "Heads We're Dancing" et le titre bonus, "Walk Straight Down the Middle"), "The Sensual World" est un album qui respire, qui prend le temps de vivre et distille une ambiance sereine et contemplative d'une rare beauté.

It is commonly agreed that this album isn't as great as the preceeding ones, but I wouldn't say it was any step backwards like Red Shoes surely was four years later. There's nothing like 'The Ninth Wave' suite of Hounds of Love here but why should there be?
