The 2000 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXVII Olympiad, officially branded as Sydney 2000, and also known as the Games of the New Millennium, were an international multi-sport event held from 15 September to 1 October 2000 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

10 août 2011 · Games of the XXVII Olympiad. The Olympic Games returned to the southern hemisphere and were the most attended ever. In addition to the 199 NOCs, there were also four Independent Olympic Athletes from East Timor, which had voted overwhelmingly for independence from Indonesia in August 1999.
