Marc Ribot (/ ˈ r iː b oʊ /; born May 21, 1954) is an American guitarist and composer. His work has touched on many styles, including no wave, free jazz, rock, and Cuban music. Ribot is also known for collaborating with other musicians, most notably Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Vinicio Capossela and John Zorn.
Marc Ribot tackles all of these effects with unusual precision and an astouding virtuosity, adding his own personal touches to make the music even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Guitarist Marc Ribot has released his own music on Island, Avant and Les Disques du Crepescule.
