These sessions were captured at the home of R.L. Burnside at Coldwater. His hypnotic and haunting blues, authentic and earthy, full of feeling is at his best on tracks like "Just like a bird without a feather", "Goin' down south", "Little babe", "Rollin' and tumblin'", "Poor black Mattie", "Hobo blues", "Jumper on the line".
