26 sept. 2022 · Berke, an accomplished architect, educator, and dean of the Yale School of Architecture, has been appointed the J.M. Hoppin Professor of Architecture, effective July 1, 2022. Berke has been the Yale School of Architecture dean since 2016.
His most famous work is the Yale Art and Architecture Building (A&A Building), a spatially-complex Brutalist concrete structure. He is one of the modernist architects considered an early practitioner of the Sarasota School of Architecture.
