28 oct. 2020 · A new resource from the California Budget & Policy Center shows California women face persistent gender and racial barriers in accessing economic security, physical and mental health care, and representation in elected positions. These barriers exist across the state’s 58 counties.
The report not only helps to offer a deeper understanding of what CCSWG does, but also provides the context for why the work is necessary and articulates the unique urgency of the moment for women and families in California struggling under the COVID-19 pandemic.

The California Women’s Well-Being Index (WWBI) is a multifaceted, composite measure of women’s well-being that comprising five “dimensions,” consisting of six indicators each, which cover health, personal safety, employment and earnings, economic security, and political empowerment.
More than 1,700 women leaders from around the state have participated in our programs to increase their knowledge of California issues and trends, broaden their connections, boost their influence, and be inspired to act and make a difference.
