There's One in Every Crowd is the third solo studio album by Eric Clapton. Recorded shortly after 461 Ocean Boulevard, the album features a style similar to its predecessor but did not enjoy similar commercial success.

She then went on tour as part of Clapton's band, and soon afterwards got her own recording contract with RSO Records. She continued to work with Clapton, performing on his albums from 1974-77, including 461 Ocean Boulevard, There's One in Every Crowd, E. C. Was Here, No Reason to Cry, and Slowhand.
There's One In Every Crowd (« EC est Dieu... Il y en a un dans chaque foule ») et qui est en fait une réponse que Clapton fit à une personne qui insistait pour lui faire comprendre qu'il était Dieu. L'album est composé de titres reggae, gospel et pop, la pochette étant elle très blues .

C’est peu de temps après 461 Ocean Boulevard que sort There’s One In Every Crowd (TOIEC), qui continue sur la lancée de son prédécesseur au niveau du contenu : une dizaine de titres, dont la moitié sont écrites par CLAPTON. Une évolution tout de même, l’album est moins « triste » qu’Ocean Boulevard.
