The son of a Jewish banker, Liebermann studied art in Weimar, Paris, and the Netherlands. After living and working for some time in Munich , he returned to Berlin in 1884, where he remained for the rest of his life.
19 mars 2024 · Liebermann’s early exposure to art came through his study of painting in Weimar, Paris, and the Netherlands. It was in Paris where he discovered Impressionism, captivated by the innovative works of Édouard Manet and Degas.

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is a university located in Weimar, Germany, and specializes in the artistic and technical fields. Established in 1860 as the Great Ducal Saxon Art School, it gained collegiate status on 3 June 1910.
The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar offers structured doctoral programmes in addition to the individual doctorate. An intensive support aims at a degree within three years. Supplementary courses impart disciplinary as well as transferable skills.
